Another day has come, and into the fray we must go. Our battles are not yet over, there is still breath within our lungs, therefore life and freedom waiting to be unleashed upon this world. Today, trials will come, but so will opportunities. Everyday our coming King holds back the reaping of the harvest is another chance we have to know Him better, love Him more, and deliver His message to someone, their "love letter, written in blood over 2000 years ago on a cross in Judea" as Dr. Chuck Missler so eloquently put.
One of the texts we have of the Old testament is the Septuagint (the Greek version of the Old Testament) which was written around 300 BC. With that knowledge, How many of us could show someone Christ simply through the old testament? Today is a list and there are two purposes of it. It says in Psalm 40:7 that the volume of the scriptures is written of our King. The first is to show Christ really was the Messiah foretold. The second, is a challenge to you today. To search Christ out, find restoration in Him through His word and His truth. We have an integrated message system from the God of the universe. Seek Him out today, speak with Him, find what He has to say to you. Let us allow Him to build us up to overflowing, so that from the abundance of Him in our heart, we can speak Christ today.
As I learn more of Christ and everything He went through, His love and sacrifice is incredible. But, until recently that was the only viewpoint I thought of. My wife and I over the last year lost two pregnancies. I would have done anything to save my kids, even if it meant my own life. It destroyed me to be helpless to save my children, to see them without a heartbeat. And I realize now, not just the love of Christ, but the love of the Father. To watch His Son as they beat Him, torture Him, mock and spit on Him, rip out His beard, and crucify Him, knowing that if He did anything, it messes up the whole plan of redemption. The love of the Father, for you and I, to endure watching His son go through all that is staggering.
