The Volume of His Glory
When we think about Heaven, we think of it as a fuzzy not so clear type of place. Actually when it comes down to it, and you look at the physics of it all the world we live in is the fuzzy, not so clear realm. We know that we live in 3 knowable dimensions, 4 actually when we include time. God, and Heaven is far beyond 4 dimensions. This would explain why He is able to have personal interaction with each of us.
To make it clear we will go down to two dimensions. If I draw two people on a piece of paper, they are 2 dimensional. They can only understand a 2 dimensional world. But, me being of 3 dimensions I can touch both of them with my finger and interact with them both separately from one another. What I would like us to do, is think about this from the perspective of where we are heading to after this life. It says in Isaiah 64:4,"For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him." We cannot even imagine, the greatness that is God, and His glory that shines forth in the heavens.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Psalm 19:1 We see the creation, we see the beauty that space and the incredible creations out in the universe. The awe we can have watching clouds form the most incredible shapes, all this declares the glory of the Lord, and yet it is nothing, absolutely nothing in comparison to Heaven and what He, Himself looks like.
The hope and joy that we take is found in 1 John 3:1-3 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." We will see him as He is, and we will be like Him. This right here confirms I have said. So for all the beauty and majesty, we only understand and see it post curse, in a fallen manner. But, today think on all this. It is exciting, perplexing to the mind, yet brings about the longing to be with our King so much more.
