These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11
I challenge you to take this verse in acts and make it a cornerstone in your life. Everything I say, your pastor, a speaker, or a mentor, take it, receive it, then do your own homework and find out what the scripture says and come to your own conclusion. You are responsible for your relationship, no one else.
With that I begin by saying we do not set dates, but we can tell seasons and times.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 says "2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not
escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."
Revelation 3:3 in the letter to Sardis states "3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. "
So as children of light, if we are watchful does that mean He won't come upon us as a thief, that we will not be surprised by our Kings coming and gathering of His children unto Himself?
What I find most provocative is from Mather 8:28-29,"

So what does this tell us, the demons knew that Christ had come before the appointed time, and if that be the case, does that mean they know when that time is.
Here is the reason I say this, people keep thinking the Mayan calender ends because the world ends. The actual reason it ends is because 2012 is the year their god comes upon the earth and a new type of human/species is born. But, not just the Maya, the Cherokee Indian, the Hindus, the believers in Apollo from ancient Greece, Cabala, all these have prophecies that 2012 is the year their god or messiah comes upon the earth and gives birth to a new species (investigate trans humanism and it will tie into this in a rather scary way). A very interesting thing to notice is their gods are all different forms of a dragon (snake with feathers for example) with the power of flight, (power of the air). And isn't Satan referred to as a dragon in revelation?
Again we do not set dates, and we hold nothing above the immutable word of God; however, I find it very interesting that all these cultures separated by time and distance that are heavily influenced demonically are very obsessed with the year 2012. Another point of interest is the Yucatec Maya became Christians along with their prophet, he then started comparing the prophecies with the Bible and believed that all the 2012 prophecies were a false setup and set the stage for the great deception. One last thing to investigate is the prophecy of the popes when a priest in the 1100s was "seized" by something and laid out in scary detail every pope from the first to the last. And according to this Pope Benedict is the 2nd to last.

But, I also want us to understand that if we are closing in on the finish, and our time draws near, we should now more than ever be working to save people. Not just thinking the world is going to end, but my brother and sisters, we don't know when our time is up and God will call us home.

What is our life upon this earth but a mere blink of an eye in the grand scheme, and how quickly it can come to a close. Our mortality and how quickly it can be taken from us is not usually thought of until someone close to us passes, gets sick, or we ourselves deal with such things as cancer, accidents, and events beyond our control. The point of it all is to say we do not know when our ministry is over, and our time to sow seed comes to a close, and with that I urge you to take up the life Christ has called you to. What is your calling? What is your ministry? Everyday is an opportunity to give people words of true freedom and life. To deliver a message of deliverance and love from our King. Every time you step into your office or workplace, the store, a gas station, it is an opportunity to sow the word of God into someones life. Go claim victory this day in the name of our coming King!
