Thunder in the Distance, Darkness on the Horizen

As we look out into the future with uncertainty, we must hold fast to the calling Christ has set before us. We need not go into this world with fear and doubt, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7  We must truly take up our armor and sword, letting our mind and hearts be filled with His word, as Psalm 119:105 states, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path".

Our King has given all we need to gain the victory, to withstand the persecutions and trials that we will face. And when those times rejoice in the Lord, and let His praise be on your lips. Understanding that which James tells us in James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." To our brothers and sisters in Christ overseas in Russia, China, Europe, Africa and the rest of the world, you are not alone. Hold fast to the Lord and let not your resolve falter. We pray for you daily and rejoice when we hear the sheer vastness of numbers of those being saved daily. I pray we in America take a stand as you have, and allow for this same Spirit that we share with you to envelope our lives light a fire in all of us so that we may spread the Gospel as never seen before in this country.

America we watch as our country is dying and the church remains silent. Apostasy and filth has entered many pulpits to the point where morals and truth are compromised and traded for lies. It is time for us to stand and demand the word of God be the law of our lives. Not compromise. We must pray for those that go astray, encouraging them to return to that life which we are called, realizing the rewards of the Spirit we have within us are far greater than that of the god of this world. 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

It is time for us as Christians to take up this life we are called to with joy and resolve, It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me according to Galatians 2:20. Forget not your first love! And allow for the captive to hear the freeing message of love that was written over 2000 years ago, by our Coming King Jesus Christ. Do not be afraid, we have the Spirit of the very God of the universe within us.  And He will supply all our needs. Pray this prayer. I have so many times. Every time we would go outside the wire this was my prayer, and the Lord was more than faithful. He remains more than faithful, and He always will. Praise be to the Lord, Jesus Christ, who will never leave us, nor forsake us.

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
